Give your child a holiday to remember!
Want to get your child outdoors for the holidays, away from screens, and laughing in the sunshine? Have your child join us for a truly Owlsome holiday camp!
Our Owlstanding team is ready to take your adventurer out for a full day of exploration, learning, and play in our 36 acre forest! No two days are the same but a typical day will include a morning adventure to an area of the woods, a forest-school session, group games, mindfulness moments, and imaginative play. In our morning circle time we plan our day with the children and include activities that fit with their interests. We provide your child with a stimulating and nurturing environment where they have the freedom to express themselves, make friends, and just be in nature. We can’t guarantee they won’t get a little bit muddy, but the memories they make will be more than worth it!

Food & Snacks
A day outdoors is a full day and children require lots of energy to keep them playing and exploring. All children must bring a hearty packed lunch. We will provide children with fruit and veg sticks throughout the day. If your child is staying for the extended day times please also bring an evening snack.
All food brought to camp must be nut free.
Dressing for the great Owldoors!
We don’t believe in bad weather, just in the wrong clothing! To make sure your adventurer is ready for their time with us we will provide you with a full kit list of how to dress your child and what to bring in a bag each day.

Holiday Camp FAQ’s:
At what age do you take from?
Holiday camps are from 3 and for the best child experience your child will need to be comfortable with separation as we are not able to organise settling sessions for camps.
What activities do the children do?
As well as periods of free play and exploration our educators have plenty of activities in mind for our children including: fires, cooking, den building, tree climbing, bug hunts, yoga, forest meditation, adventure walks, natural crafts, slack lines, hammocks, swings, woodcrafts, sawing, whittling, drilling and more.
It might be a long day for my child, do the children get any breaks?
Yes - our team will ensure children pace themselves throughout the day. We have morning, lunch, and afternoon breaks plus throughout the day in the woods children have the time to be and relax in nature.
If my child needs social or emotional support how can you help?
We understand children and we know challenging behavior is often the result of unmet needs by the child. We are experts in tuning in to individuals’ needs and giving them the personal, social, and emotional support they require to feel safe & secure.
Is it safe?
We are Ofsted Registered and our team is highly experienced in safe outdoor education. We perform daily risk assessments to ensure our environment is ready for fun.
What happens when the weather gets bad?
Should the weather get stormy or there be particularly high winds we have contingency plans in place where we can spend time in open spaces away from trees and if necessary we have indoor cabin space which we can access. Fortunately, our weather is pretty stable and it is a very rare occurrence that we need to head indoors.
